In memory of my Great Gran Janet Blair known to most as Jenny...β₯..β₯...β₯
Jenny was Born 1912 in Shotts Lanarkshire and many years later moved to Helensburgh Argyle and Clyde where she met my Great Grandad John Blair.
In Helensburgh they had and raised 4 sons Iain,Robert,Jim and David Blair All boys gran would have loved a girl just aswell she had many granddaughters,great granddaughters and a great great grandaughter to follow.
Jenny was known by many people of Helensburgh and was a regular visitor of the West Kirk Church this is a place my Gran spent many happy times in her life and every Sunday went to the church for the Sunday service then over to the Bethesta for a cup of tea and blether with her friends.
Great Gran worked as the cook in Braehome the local maternity hospital for many years this was a job my gran loved she loved making meals for the new patients and meeting the new babies when they entered the world.Later after the home closed and gran should have retired she cleaned for elderly people in their homes these elderly people where much younger than my Gran but the wee job kept her going and kept her younger than her years.
Gran lived a full and eventful life till just after she turned 90 it was then she developed Dementia and her health deteriorated.Many times we thought she wouldnt make another year but my Gran being so remarkable fought on and proved us all wrong.
Eventually due to her illness Gran had to spend time away from the family home in Bloomhill nursing home Cardross.
Gran was a right wee character with the biggest heart you,d ever find she was loved by all who met her and could bring a smile to your face by just being in her company.She meant so much to all that knew her you
always got my Gran the same way.She was a gem of a lady and loved by all.So wise to the world you could guarantee the truth of her thoughts and opinion even if you didnt want to hear it.This is one of the many things we will miss about her aswell as her heartiness and her smile.With the memories she has left us she will never be gone she will live on in our hearts my gran the best god could give.
Great Gran was the eldest of 5 generations in 2 parts of her family.
Great Gran,Grampa Blair her son,Janet her Granddaughter,Robert her Great Granson and Cameron her Great-Great Granson.And again within the same family with her Great Grandaughter Angela and her Great-Great Grandaughter Sinead.
It was at Bloomhill Nursing home in Cardross that Grans life on earth of 96 years ended it was her time to go she had soldiered on in life for as long as she could and did us all proud in that time.
At 16.02pm on 20th Novemeber 2008 surrounded by her family who did not leave her side god took her to the Angels and hopefully a better
place.There she will join her Husband John and her sons David and Robert who passed before her to be reunited at heavens gate.Great gran was an Angel on earth and she,ll be the best Angel in heaven too.
It is true that god only takes the best and I know that because he took our Gran.
RIP Great gran we will never forget you we know the day you left it was not goodbye it was just see you later when we meet again.Until that time Great Gran watch over us you memory will live on in my heart and my mind forever.x.x.x.

been a very tough few months but you'll know that as you'll be watching from your special garden .... uncle jim has cancer but in true uncle jim style and rightly so hes up beat about it ... only wish he would sleep through the big room but he wont ,, so going down next week to sort his room and put the hospital bed in there make him more comfortable ...... still cant believe its 3 years ago today you got your angel wings .... well its a true saying god only takes the best because you were the best our glue who held us together .... well all love and miss you so much .... Uncle jim is back in hospital thats 7 weeks now and hes loosing so much weight, we are all so worried about him , we went down and totally gutted your wee house out hope you like it then again you would never have let get into that mess, sorry couldnt do you room was just hard .....please look after him and my dad . as you know my dad hes deep but of course hes hurting ..... hes putting on a brave face just like uncle jim ... i hate uncle jim talking death i know its going to happen to us all one day ..... i just cant deal with it ... hes down for the camera both ends and hes had bone marrow on tuesday ... im just not dealing with him talking that way
